THE LOST TYPOGRAPHY OF BAUHAUS
Adobe wanted to inspire and engage their community in typography, and have them learn more about Adobes online font subscription service TypeKit. The main objective of the campaign was to generate new subscribers to Adobe CC and to engage the target audience – creatives.
This is the second project in the series ’Hidden Treasures of Creativity’, following up the previous project ’The Original Brushes of Edvard Munch’. In collaboration with the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation in Germany we brought life to 5 typefaces that was initiated by students and teachers at the legendary design institute Bauhaus – about 100 years ago – but never finished due to the schools abrupt closure in 1932. The unique fonts was made available for free to all Adobe TypeKit and enabled for a new generation of designers to design with a piece of living design history.
